Rapid Prototyping: Models of Climate Change is a project by UNSW Art & Design lecturer Kate Dunn.
The project is comprised of a series of experimental 3D visualisations of climate change research. The various 3D printed models are each made from sustainable materials such as clay, coffee, corn, sugar, and recycled waste wood.
Work by two scientists, Dr Sarah Perkins-Kirkpatrick and Dr Dan Metcalfe inform the peices. The exhibition explores and investigates the potential of 3D forms to assist in communicating complex information, and the role material plays in the experience of an object.
