Each year ten Honours Year Scholarships are awarded to UNSW students who achieve an average mark of 79 or higher in their respective degree programs.
This scholarship is only available to students who are enrolled in an Art Theory degree program where the award of honours requires an extra year of enrolment (48UOC) above and beyond the requirements of the pass degree.
Tenure: 1 Year
Final Year Bachelor of Art Theory (4803) students who are undertaking an 'add-on' honours year study.
No residency requirements.
Students are ranked on the basis of their average second and third year marks totalling 96 UOC (excluding their General Education subjects) and their proposed honours project.
UNSW Art & Design Applicants are to provide a statement on their research potential and the benefit to their discipline.
After the closing date the eligible applications are sent to the nominated Faculty representative who coordinates the short listing of applicants for their faculty. The ranked list is then returned to UNSW Scholarships to be forwarded to Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Students) & Registrar who will make the final decision on who will be awarded the scholarship. UNSW Scholarships will then notify the successful candidates by email.
