UNSW Art & Design's ceramics workshop provides students and staff with opportunities to explore clay as a means for expression.
The dynamic studio environment encourages students to investigate techniques that range from sculptural and figurative forms to architectural pieces, as well as providing the opportunity for interdisciplinary and innovative approaches to ceramic practice.
The workshop supports technical training in:
- Hand building
- Wheel work
- Mould making and casting
- Glaze technology
- Surface treatment
Induction on the equipment in this facility usually takes place as part of a course.
