The UNSW School of Art & Design Paddington campus is located among Sydney's largest cluster of cultural and creative industry businesses and institutions. The specialist campus incorporates high-quality facilities such as museum-standard galleries and state-of-the-art workshops, open studios and private workspaces, research and digital labs, student lounges and spaces for collaboration.

As a student you’ll benefit from our intensive, hands-on environment where you’ll enjoy access to a comprehensive range of resources to develop and enhance your skillset and knowledge. You’ll have access to fully equipped studio spaces, production facilities and media labs designed for a variety of disciplines, including ceramics, design, digital media, jewellery, painting and drawing, printmaking, photography, motion and image capture, sculpture and textiles.

Our Paddington campus is an exciting and stimulating precinct alive with social and cultural activity, including our network of galleries, public and student-initiated performances, screenings and lecture programs.

Getting to campus

  • The School of Art & Design campus is centrally located in the vibrant heart of Paddington and is well serviced by public transport options.

    We are within walking distance of two train stations:

    Buses also operate to and from Oxford St and nearby Flinders St: 

  • UNSW runs a free shuttle bus between the School of Art & Design in Paddington and the Kensington campus. 

    It operates hourly throughout each semester, excluding weekends and public holidays. 

    You’ll find the shuttle bus stops at the Greens Rd entrance (Paddington) and the Gate 8 entrance on High Street (UNSW Kensington). 

  • There is no parking on the Paddington campus and street parking is extremely limited. We recommend using public transport to get to our campus.
