Dr Emma Crott is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the iCinema Centre for Interactive Cinema Research at UNSW Art & Design. Her research interests include the politics of aesthetics, representations of war, photography and digital media theory, and contemporary art practices. A forthcoming book chapter titled ‘Anachronism and Unfixing the Event of War in the Photography of Simon Norfolk’ will be included in the anthology War and Portrayal: The Expression of the Unbearable in Modern and Contemporary Art published by Verlag Ferdinand Schöningh.
